DNage has an exclusive worldwide commercial license to two patent families, one claiming the ageing mouse models and cells, organs and tissues derived from these mouse models, and the use thereof to screen for compounds that can inhibit, prevent or cure ageing related phenotypes and disorders, the other patent family being directed to the use of Prodarsan®. These patent families are owned by Erasmus Medical Center.

Under the existing license DNage also has an exclusive right to obtain the commercial rights to future Intellectual Property within the ageing field developed by Erasmus Medical Center. Because of ongoing research in the field of ageing and the ongoing search for new compounds both within DNage and at Erasmus Medical Center, it is expected that multiple new patent applications will be filed in the coming years.
