Partnering
DNage is developing a technology which is based on a new target for drug development (accumulation of DNA-damage). We have the biological tools to identify entirely new compounds interfering with the onset of a number of ageing-diseases.
Our animals do, for instance, spontaneously, develop osteoporosis which closely resembles osteoporosis as it develops in humans.
We have recently developed a model in which we can induce ageing specifically in the brain. These animals show normal physical development, but have significant neurological problems and may serve as suitable models for Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease.
DNage seeks partners with therapeutic expertise and a commitment to drug commercialization. To learn more about partnering opportunities with DNage, please contact Gerben Zondag (g.zondag@dnage.nl) for further information.
DNage have also shown that the progress of ageing and the onset of ageing associated diseases in our animal models is strongly influenced by their diet, and therefore we are convinced that our models provide a excellent model system to further study the relation between food and ageing.
DNage has set up a number of programs to study this diet effect in more detail in our models as a basis to build our understanding of the effect of nutraceuticals on ageing.
DNage seeks partners with an interest to further their scientific understanding and options for ageing associated claim generation for their existing-, or new food ingredients.
